Edie is a long-running conference named after and organised by the magazine Edie, and
functions as a resource for energy-sustainability, and resource efficiency professionals.
Edie.net is an online resource and magazine that focuses on news in sustainability relating
to business and technology interests. This year, like other years, the Edie Live conference
will be held to introduce business owners to professionals. 2019’s edition will be held at NEC
Birmingham over the 21st – 22nd of May.

The tagline you’ll see most often during Edie is “Mission Possible”. This is Edie’s effort to
encourage businesses to really ramp up their efforts to be sustainable in five main sectors:
Energy, Resources, The Built Environment, Mobility, and Business Management. Some
examples of what these different focuses are include energy being the focus on increasing
efficiency in business, mobility being a focus on investing in electric vehicles in future to
save money and reduce a company’s carbon footprint, and the built environment focuses
on implementing new technologies in the workplace to improve efficiencies (such as
adaptive or smart electronics which can adjust power consumption based on usage).
They encourage businesses to focus on things such as ensuring a sustainable supply chain,
and also host a number of workshops and speeches during the conference. The next edition
of Edie Live will be co-hosting with Utility Week Live, which covers sustainability in the
utilities sector – namely water, gas, and electricity. This means that the upcoming Edie
conference will be extraordinarily comprehensive.

This event is a must-visit for any investors, business-owners, or professionals who are
interested in improving the sustainability of their company looking forward. These changes
help a company financially while also contributing to environmental protections further
down the road – for this reason the conference is indispensable as a resource for keeping in
touch with these industry professionals.
